Email and dialup services to be discontinued as of 12/31/08We regret to announce that Prairienet will be discontinuing the following services as of December 31, 2008:
Final Score: Spam 1, Prairienet 0As you know, we have been battling the relentless global increase in spam volume for some time now. Spam now accounts for 99% of all email and the two Proofpoint spam filter servers that were put into service in 2006 are routinely running at 10-15 times their rated loads, resulting in intermittent crashes and delivery outages. Other options did not pan out and we could not afford the necessary Proofpoint server upgrades, leaving us with no alternative but to discontinue email services altogether.
